Lucia Vestha
Lucia Vestha is an Imperial plenipotentiary and diplomat, who serves in the Command Squad of the Ultramarines Captain, Demetrian Titus.[1]
History
Having been born in the Hive slums of Styrus in the eastern fringes of Ultramar, she perfected the art of negotiation, diplomacy, and deceit during her youth serving as an intermediary between hive gang bosses and the planet's nobility. The outbreak of a Cultist uprising on Styrus would forever change her life. Millions died during the conflict, but Vestha survived by using her connections amongst the nobility to carve out a position in the Governor's staff. The rebellion ended with the arrival of the Ultramariness and a brutal purge.[2]
Afterward the war, she stepped forward from the Governor's staff to peacefully mediate the assimilation of Styrus into Greater Ultramar. The Ultramarines were impressed with her oratory skills and employed her as a Chapter Serf. On Laphis in the Macragge System, she learned the history and tenets of the Chapter and completed her training as a plenipotentiary.[2]
Today, Lucia is a valued member of the Wardens of Ultramar and has been part of the Captain's War Councils. Vestha's keen negotiating skills have also saved Titus' 2nd Company from fighting numerous needless battles. It is said that her incredible negotiating skills and silver tongue have brought dozens of worlds back into the fold without a single drop of blood being spilled. The same abilities she uses in diplomacy are also priceless in many war councils, as the slightest falsehood or hesitance will be uncovered by her before it has the chance to develop. Her service and track record have earned Lucia great respect from across the 2nd Company, which has allowed her to work with them to quash many rebellions through her negotiation skills.[1]
