Kin Magna Rail Rifle[2]

The Magna Rail Rifle is a type of Rail Weapon by both the Kin and Tau Empire.[1]

Kin

These weapons utilize linear magna-rail fields to pull solid projectiles along the barrel at hypervelocities that enable them to punch through almost any target.[2]

Tau

Rare magnetic materials discovered by the Tau of the Fourth Sphere of Expansion were used to develop this much improved version of the Rail Rifle. It is equipped to the XV88 Broadside Battlesuit.[1]

If similar to the case of Ion Weaponry, the Leagues of Votann may be the original source of the technology for the Tau.[2][3]
