Magnificence (Leviathan)
The Magnificence was the Command Leviathan of Battlegroup Kalidar.[1a][2]
History
In 328.397.M41, during the Kalidar War, the Magnificence was deployed in a region of Kalidar IV known as Macaree's Tablelands.[1a]
Following a string of successful offensives against the orks active on Kalidar, the Magnificence was used to host a function - a formal dinner to which all of the high-ranking Imperial personnel on Kalidar were invited.[1a] However, the party was abruptly ended when another mob of orks attacked the Magnificence and the rest of the Imperial positions nearby.[1a][1b]
The Imperial forces were able to fight off the orks, but the Magnificence suffered significant damage; the orks destroyed one of the vehicle's track segments and one of its entrances and set off two bombs inside it. In addition, the raiders managed to make their way to the Magnificence's command deck, killing four officers and attempting to assassinate Captain-General Iskhandrian before being repulsed by a unit of Atraxian Guard Paramount.[1b]
