Mal'Caor Long Range Patrol
Mal'Caor Long Range Patrol are strike forces of the T'au Empire, that are charged with performing reconnaissance sweeps on unexplored worlds that lie near its borders.[1]
Description
The Patrols not only relay back any information or dangers they discover, but also help pave the way for the worlds to be colonized by the T'au Empire. The Mal'Caor's forces mainly consist of Stealth Suits and Pathfinders, with at least one of each being required when they are deployed. Broadside Battlesuits are rarely present in the Patrols, but they are given a single Hammerhead Gunship to use, as they operate so far ahead of any of the T'au's military forces. Gun Drone squadrons, however, are notably not permitted to be used in the Mal'Caor, as the machines' simple brains are unable to catalogue any unusual circumstances they may encounter with the Patrols.[1]
There is also a Tau Commander named Mal'Caor the Spider, but it is not known if he has any connection to the Patrols.[2]
