Marken Cortein Lo Bannick was an Honoured Lieutenant of the 7th Paragonian Super-heavy Tank Company and Commander of the Baneblade Mars Triumphant.[1a]
Biography
By 397.M41 he had been with the Astra Militarum for 30 years.[1a] He commanded Mars Triumphant when the 7th Company was among the Imperial forces deployed on Kalidar IV against the Orks of Waaagh! Gratzdakka.[1a][1b]
He commanded Mars Triumphant during the engagement on the Kostoval Flats, followed by the retreat of Guard forces when they were ambushed by Ork walkers, including a Witch Engine piloted by Greeneye.[1b]
Cortein later sacrificed himself and Mars Triumphant in order to destroy Greeneye's Witch Engine in the assault on Hive Meradon.[1c]
