Marwent's Reach is a beleaguered Imperial world.[1]
History
Despite dutifully attempting to fulfill the Emperor's Tithe, Marwent's Reach found itself in peril when Chaos Knights of House Korvax suddenly appeared on its surface. Unable to attend to anything but their own defense, tribute to Terra ceased. While their distress calls had been ignored, the cessation of the tithe drew swift attention. This drew the attention of Fleet Primus' Task Force XII under Varro Tigurius. After learning their hated arch-enemy House Korvax was assailing Marwent's Reach, House Raven proved eager to aid Tigurius in his task.[2]
After Fallen were supposedly spotted on Marwent's Reach, the call was also answered by the Dark Angels, with the might of its fleet and the Chapter's Rock Fortress Monastery. However just as they were nearing Marwent's Reach, the Dark Angels were ambushed by Chaos forces led by the Demi-Chaos God Vashtorr. Ultimately the Chaos forces were driven away and Marwent's Reach was saved by Tigurius' forces.[2a]
