Medikits (also spelled medi-kits[3] or medkit)[2] are small, compact, and reliable portable Imperial medical kits.[1][2][3]

Overview

Medi-kit[3]

Medikits are often packed with an assortment of analgesics, cataplasm patches, and cauterisers. They usually contain just enough medical accoutrements to mean the difference between life and death on the battlefield.[2] Other contents can include a diagnostic cogitator complete with a bio-scanner and probes, along with other various chemicals, drugs, and other means to treat a variety of injuries. These are typically issued to the Imperial Guard.[3]

Variants

Chirurgeon's Tools

Chirurgeon's Kit[4]

Often issued to the Sisters Hospitaller, this kit contains sacred unguents, surgical tools, sterilisers, analgesic alembics,[2] autoscalpels, haemostaunchers, wound sealers, bandages, and other items to aid surgical efforts done outside of proper facilities. This small, portable kit can be a significant boon for saving lives even to those with little skill in medicine.[4]

Martyr's Gift Medkit

The Martyr's Gift is an upgraded version of a standard military medikit, far superior to the standard Astra Militarum Medkit. This kit is loaded with combat stimms, auto-cauterising thermic gel, and single-use disposable bionics for a lost limb or eye. This kit is typically issued to Tempestus Scions. It even contains a belt of subcutaneous frag charges that can be used to booby-trap a terminally wounded Scion's body.[2]
