Morvax Haukspeer
Morvax Haukspeer was an Apothecary of the Raven Guard Legion during the Horus Heresy.[1]
Biography
Haukspeer joined his battle brothers during the mission on Isstvan V where they were ambushed by the Drop Site Massacre. He managed to survive the initial battle and joined a group of survivors commanded by Ishmal Sulnar of the Iron Hands at a base built into a crashed drop ship. At this base, known as Purgatory, Haukspeer became responsible for the care of the wounded loyalists. After the base was discovered by the traitor forces, Haukspeer decided that his duties at the base no longer served a purpose. He instead joined the Salamanders Ra'stan and Usabius on their mission to locate Vulkan.[1]
During the mission to locate Vulkan, Haukspeer and the Salamanders encountered a World Eater performing a ritual to Khorne. During the battle with this World Eater, Haukspeer became temporarily affected by chaos and attacked Ra'stan in a berserk rage. Ra'stan destroyed part of Haukspeer's power armour to incapacitate him and bring him back to sanity. Back to his senses, Haukspeer continued to aid the Salamanders as an advanced scout. The three space marines discovered Vulkan's crashed drop ship, but were in turn discovered by a Dark Mechanicum construct known as a Blind-Hunter. Ra'stan and Haukspeer drew the construct's attention away from Usabius so that Usabius could search for the primarch. During the ensuing battle, Haukspeer was killed by the Blind-Hunter.[1]
