Mynarc
Mynarc the Unforgiven is a Heretic, who was once a Radical Ordo Malleus Inquisitor until he was declared Excommunicate Traitoris.[1]
The Curse of Glorian Sarck
He was once the student of the Inquisitor Glorian Sarck, who was tutored by the Xanthism founder Zaranchek Xanthus. When Xanthus was condemned and executed for Heresy, Sarck and Mynarc fled from the Ordo Malleus and eventually landed upon Cneiras. There, the two discovered a nocturnal race of troglodytes, who openly worshiped Chaos.[1]
Their continued associations with the creatures led to Sarck becoming corrupted and embracing Heresy. However once Mynarc learned of this, he attacked Sarck while his former master was conducting a depraved ritual. Sarck's life would be ended by his own blade and the ritual was disrupted as a result. This caused the Inquisitor's soul to be drawn into his blade, where the trapped Sarck began uttering dark whispers to his former student.[1]
Excommunicate Traitoris
Mynarc kept the sword afterwards and then fled from the troglodytes, but this and constantly hearing Sarck's voice, began to change the Inquisitor. He eventually gave in to his former master's corrupting influence and started to partake in acts of cannibalism. Doing so, though, caused Mynarc's face to turn into a sneering horned mask and he later embraced Chaos as well. The Inquisitor then began to be guided by Sarck's soul and when Mynarc was found to be a Heretic, he was declared Excommunicate Traitoris.[1]
The arch-heretic has now been on the run from the Inquisition for centuries and has become called Mynarc the Butcher in certain systems. He later joined the Cult of the Voice during the 13th Black Crusade, which serves the mysterious anti-Imperial figure known as the Voice of the Emperor. Mynarc would act as one of the Voice's emissaries as the conflict raged and the Cult's actions became a constant thorn in the Imperium's side. In the aftermath of the Black Crusade though, news spread that Mynarc was on the Plague Zombie infested world Subiaco Diablo. When the Ordo Malleus learned of this, they immediately sent several tracking teams to bring the arch-heretic to justice.[2]
