Nacedon is a planet of the Sabbat Worlds Cluster.[1]

History

Nacedon was a so-called "Trophy World", a planet claimed via the Right of Settlement by an Imperial Guard Regiment - in this case, the Hogskull Regiment, which won the planet in mid-M41, just under 200 years prior to the Sabbat Worlds Crusade.[1]

In the Sabbat Worlds Crusade, some time after the Battle of Balhaut, the forces of Chaos took Nacedon in an attempt to counter Warmaster Macaroth's advance through the cluster. The planet was subjugated and its people slaughtered over the course of a mere three-day long campaign. A detachment of the Crusade was tasked with retaking Nacedon.[1]

Although the Astra Militarum made a strong initial push, they were routed at the delta of Lohenich, forcing General Muller to call a retreat. A day later, however, the Imperials made another push which reclaimed most of the ground they had lost in the retreat.[1]

Amongst the Crusade's regiments committed to retaking Nacedon were the Tanith First and Only and the Volpone 50th 'Bluebloods'.[1]
