Nostraman Damnatii
The Nostraman Damnatii were Solar Auxilia Regiments that served the Night Lords Legion during the Great Crusade and the Horus Heresy.[1]
Contents
History
They were originally raised from the Night Lords' Homeworld, Nostramo. They first appeared some 30 years prior to the Heresy when the Night Lords became banned by Terra from inducting standard Solar Auxilia units as auxiliaries for their own forces.[2] After Nostramo's destruction by the hands of Curze, the Nostraman Damnatii were mustered on worlds from the Nostramo Sector and beyond, including Flent, Okki and Rebus.[1]
While initially Curze enacted rigorous standards for the Damnatii, by the Heresy they had become little more than cruel and bloodthirsty killers.[2]
Heraldry
While their uniforms were the same, Damnatii veterans who had earned the honour of doing so could wear additional adornments that were taken from their patron Legion's livery, such as the Night Lords' skull-face masks.[1]
The Regiments' vehicles also used markings derived from the Legion, which were sometimes applied directly over their numerals.[1]
