A Null Rod, also called a night rod,[5] is a type of power weapon used by members of the Ordo Malleus's Daemonhunters[1] and by the Black Sentinels of the Adeptus Astra Telepathica.[5]

Overview
These obsidian rods constantly crackle with anti-psychic power which nullifies the powers of the Warp. However, this device also prevents the wielders themselves from making use of any psychic power.[1] It can also be used to deal blunt force as with a club or a truncheon.[3] These weapons appear as empty spots in the warp to psykers and cause a suffocating psychic suppression at a mere touch, causing them to seize and likely become incapacitated.[5]
