Oath of Stone
The Oath of Stone was a battleship of the Imperial Fists Legion.[1][2]
History
The Oath of Stone was an ancient vessel, having been constructed far from Terra before the beginning of the Age of the Imperium.[2]
At the start of the Horus Heresy, the Oath of Stone was part of Rogal Dorn's Retribution Fleet sent to put down the traitors. When the fleet was becalmed in the Phall System and subsequently attacked by the Iron Warriors, the Oath of Stone took part in the Battle of Phall.[1][2] It was one of the first of the Fists' vessels to respond to the treachery of the Iron Warriors, opening fire on the Traitor grand cruiser Stheno with its lances. Although the Stheno was severely damaged, three more Iron Warriors ships attacked the Oath, killing its Legionary shipmaster. With its destruction seemingly imminent, a human member of the crew assumed command and gave the order to ram the Stheno, destroying it.[2] The Oath of Stone was later destroyed.[1]
