Ordo Calixis
From Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
The Ordo Calixis is an Inquisitorial organisation that coordinates the Inquisition's activity in the Calixis Sector. The organisation's headquarters are located on Scintilla.[3]
Ordo Calixis is known to have its own unique brand of Bolt Pistol manufactured for them on Scintilla, the Sacristan Bolt Pistol.[1]
Threat Rating
The Ordo Calixis uses a special scale to classify threats to the Imperium both in origin and in scale:[2]
Threat Designation
- Hereticus: Heretics, criminals, rebels, mutants, witches and associated material.[2]
- Xenos: Alien species and technology, as well as humans influenced by them.[2]
- Malleus: Warp-born or infused beings.[2]
- Obscuro: Unknown, or falls outside the other categories.[4] Also covers dangers caused by Archeotech.[4]
Grade of Threat
- Minima: Minimal threat in small numbers, only likely to injure lonely, weak or unprepared individuals.[2]
- Minoris: Dangerous in numbers. Local issue unless particularly numerous or combined to greater forces.[2]
- Majoris: Constitutes a considerable physical or moral threat to a civilian population, hazardous to Imperial agents and in large numbers can require specialised or mass forces to neutralise. Containment and prevention of widespread knowledge or contact with the civilian population is considered crucial.[2]
- Extremis: Lethal threat warranting the most powerful of responses, able to endanger whole worlds if left unchecked, and to have wider implications for the Imperium if not locally confined.
- Terminus: Serious losses expected during confrontation, can only be eliminated with extreme prejudice. If widespread, entrenched or accelerating in severity, every option to contain it must be envisaged, including Exterminatus.[2]
