Examples
Plastek is a versatile material that can be fabricated into a multitude of forms. Plastek can be fabricated in the form of a hard rigid material or a flexible one. It can also be fabricated to be transparent or opaque. A great many of mundane objects in the Imperium are made from plasteks. Soft, layered clothing can also be made from plastek.[7a]
- Some mundane examples include tables,[5a] trays,[6c] sacks,[7c] and ink dispensing writing utensils.[6a] Plastek furniture, such as tables, are common within the individual habs of Hive City's Hab Blocs.[5a]
- Plasweave is a cheap fabric for clothing.[8]
- Novoplas - Cheap, man-made material (usually for garments)
- Environment Suits are among the items that are made from it.[1]
- Fuel cannisters used to deliver promethium to troop transport vehicles are often made from plastek.[3a]
- Plastek sheeting can work as an insulator for both heat[3a] and protection from potent Motive Forces (electricity).[3b] It's commonly used as a tubular covering of wires, forming the ubiquitous cables seen throughout Imperial technology for this reason.[3d]
- Plastek tubing is also used move various liquids. Such as for medical purposes, such as being a means for liquids to being conveyed into an individual's circulatory system.[3c][3e]
- Transparent plastek robes are often used by those operating bloody cyber-surgical slabs.[4]
- Plastek organs, such as hearts, are also possible.[5b]
- Various augmetics can be plastek implants.[6b]

- Proto-plastek is a material from ancient, pre-Imperial times on Old Earth.[7b]
- Necron Scarabs are known to have wings made of a material referred to as hyperplastek.[7b]
