Ruphen was a Space Marine of the Avenging Sons Chapter, serving in the Third Company under Captain Gessart.[1]
When Gessart rebelled against the Imperium in the course of the disastrous war on Helmabad, Ruphen remained loyal and unsuccessfully attempted to stop the renegades, dying at their hands.[1]
