The Rustbloods are an Alpha Legion Warband.[1a]
History
They are led by the Lord Discordant Xettus Qeele and are more aligned with the Dark Mechanicum, than with the Alpha Legion. Though they number less than 30 members, the Rustbloods are a powerful force as they are masters of machines and control a large number of Daemon Engines and war machines. They are also among the Alpha Legion's Warbands that are active in Ultima Segmentum.[1a]
In M42, they were one of the warbands that joined Solomon Akurra's Ghost Legion coalition of Alpha Legion warbands. But while the Rustbloods and Akurra's own Serpent's Teeth are theoretically allies, there is must distrust between the two and the warband is known to covet the Serpent's Teeth Star Fort Unseen.[1b]
