Sael Karros
Sael Karros is a Lieutenant in the Raven Guard 4th Company.[1a]
History
Commanding Raven Guard forces in the Invasion of the Odoacer System alongside the Imperial Fists under Heyd Calder and White Scars under Suboden Khan, Karros accepted Calder's command and was the best suited of the trio to navigate the politics of the Cardinal World of Almace.[1a] He was the first to suspect Cardinal Eamon was hiding something, eventually revealed to be an imprisoned Word Bearers Dreadnought dubbed The Anchorite.[1b] Karros was also able to organise criminal elements on Almace to raise more manpower to resist the Word Bearers.[1c]
Karros' most significant actions occur way from Almace, leading his Reivers in raiding rebel-controlled asteroid mining facilities to deny the Word Bearers a staging point. When faced with a Word Bearers assault, he laid a series a booby traps and ambushes to blunt them and withdraw.[1d] When the Dark Apostle Lakmhu arrived to personally oversee the conquest of the asteroid facility, Karros was able to defeat his forces using explosive traps.[1e]
Karros' efforts in thea steroid belt were instrumental to the victory at Almace, as he significantly delayed the Word Bearers invasion fleet long enough for Calder and Suboden to organise an effective defense on Almace.[1f]
