The Saiphan Elevatii were Blood Angels bonded Solar Auxilia Regiments.[4] They were raised from the Legion's Fief World Saiph, during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1]

History

As the people radioactive world of Baal proved ill-suited to service in the wider Imperium, the Saiphan Elevatii Homeworld had long served as a recruiting world for the Blood Angels. During the Great Crusade the Saiphan Elevatii included Aspirants that were judged unsuitable to join the Legion. Though they failed the Blood Angels' standards, it thought that these failed Aspirants could find great honour amongst the Elevatii's ranks. Key details of their armour was marked in gold or bronze and the Elevatii's vehicles made extensive use of gold detailing.[1]

The Saiphans were known to be bloodthirsty warriors naturally, but the Blood Angels subjected them to punishing training regimens to enforce discipline and cohesion. Their lack of concern for propriety also helped to shield some of the Blood Angels less palatable practices from the wider Imperium.[3]

They were among the Solar Auxilia, that defend the Blood Angels' Homeworld in the Siege of Baal.[4]
