Saul was a Captain of the Celestial Lions Chapter.^[1]

Biography

When Inquisitor Apollyon called on the aid of the Celestial Lions to help him crush the Khattarn Insurrection, Saul acted as the Force Commander, leading five companies of Space Marines to Khattar to put down the rebellion.^[1]

Following the campaign, Apollyon purged the entire population of Khattar, claiming that the heresy that had taken root there had corrupted the populace. The Celestial Lions' officers denounced Apollyon, which led to the Chapter being systematically eliminated by the Inquisition as a message to those who would challenge their power.^{[1][Note 1]}

Notes

• Note 1: During the Third War for Armageddon, it was stated that all of the Chapter's senior officers had been killed between the Khattar Massacre and the Chapter's first assault on the Mannheim Gap.^[2] It can be presumed that Saul was amongst them.
