The Shadowlord[2] is a Drukhari Archon.[1b]

History
He was part[1b] of an alliance with Chaos and Ork forces, that invaded the Imperium's Charydis Sector, in late M41. One of the battles fought in the invasion, was on an Imperial world that contained an inactive Warlord Titan. This Titan was coveted by Abaddon the Despoiler, who personally commanded the Black Legion's forces in the alliance, and he used his Xenos allies to aid him in its capture.[1a] Arrayed against them, however, was the Astra Militarum and the Dark Angels Chapter, who were led by Grand Master Azrael. The Imperial forces were also being aided by the Craftworlds Miel Carn and Saim-Hann, who had agreed to aid in the Charydis Sector's defense.[2] Under Abaddon's orders though, the Shadowlord and Orks lured Azrael away from the spaceport that held the Warlord Titan. Once they did so, the Black Legion launched its attempt to secure the Titan.[1a]
Afterwards, the Archon personally led his forces against the Craftworld Miel Carn and inflicted severe causalities against them. This caused the Craftworld's forces to flee and they likely would have been routed, if Miel Carn's Avatar of Khaine and Fire Dragons had not barred the Shadowlord's path. Even so, the Archon was able to deal several wounds to the Avatar. As the battle wore on, the Black Legion eventually managed to secure the Warlord Titan. Its loss, led the surviving Imperial and Craftworld forces to flee from the world.[2]
