Siboseis is an Imperial Moon, that lies within the Nachmund Gauntlet.[1]
History
The moon's leaders are fiercely loyal to the Imperium and have been staunch allies to the Castellans of the Rift, ever since the Chapter was given the duty of protecting the Gauntlet by Lord Commander Guilliman. It was for this reason, that Captain Proteik quickly came to Siboseis's aid when the large Space Hulk Lament of Ages began to barrel down upon the moon.[1]
The Space Hulk, however, was too large for Proteik's fleet to destroy and he also refused to blindly attempt a boarding attack, which could end in failure. Instead the Strike Cruiser Dark Sentry and its Escorts followed the Lament, while attempting to destroy any craft that departed from the Space Hulk. Some escaped them, though, and would then attack Siboseis or other nearby targets. This continued for several days, until the Techmarine Nikol's scanning efforts discovered a fault within the Lament that would allow Proteik's forces to steer it away from Siboseis, using a warhead from the Dark Sentry. The Castellans then boarded the Space Hulk and succeed in activating the warhead, which sent the Lament careening safely away from Siboseis. While some of the Space Hulk's dangerous occupants were able to still reach the moon afterwards, Siboseis's population was saved from being destroyed.[1]
