The Silencia was a needle ship belonging to Hester Aspertia Sigma-Sigma, Domina of Trisolian A4. It was small, fast, and Warp travel capable.[1a]

Description

The Silencia was a small ship, less than a hundred metres end to end. The modestly sized ship's outer hull was richly decorated with symbols of the Martian Empire and the Mechanicum. The opulent interior was lovingly maintained. Parts of the ship were viewable through diamond glass windows and framed in glass, as if the interior mechanisms were artworks on display.[1b] The ship has void shields and an extension stealth suite.[1b]

History

During the Battle of Trisolian, Aspertia's ship was docked in her secret private hangar in Septa Station of the Heptaligon. The tech-adept Cawl and acolytum Friedisch Qvo would ultimately kill her and steal the Domina's ship.[2] Once the pair arrived at the ship, Cawl and Friedisch would connect their mechadendrites into the cockpit, directing the ship via direct communion. As Septa Station was rocked with explosion and became untethered from the Heptaligon, they would undock the vessel and narrowly escape the station's collision with Momus. Cawl would pilot the ship out of the collapsing hangar and Friedisch would perform copilot tasks as directed by Cawl.[1b]

Once cloaking devices were activated and the ship escaped the unfolding conflict, Cawl would wake the Navigator and talk them around to his side. The ship's Navigator was a lower ranked member of the Navis Nobilite and sealed in stasis on the ship's upper deck. Half a day later they were in the warp.[1b]

They would then travel to the known loyalist Forge World of Ryza to seek refuge from the civil war. Unbeknownst to the occupants, they arrived some time after the Horus Heresy had already concluded. In orbit of the forge world, the Silencia would be stopped and boarded by local Ryzan naval forces. As Cawl and Friedisch proclaimed their loyalty to the Adeptus Mechanicus and the Imperium, the ship's astropath would board a salvator pod and eject from the vessel, transmitting their own Navis Nobilite neutrality identifiers, exiting unmolested. Both Cawl and Friedisch would subsequently be detained by an armed boarding party of Basilikon Astra menials, Navatoi cyborgs. Then taken into custody, being brought planetside. Cawl would be interrogated while Friedisch languished in a holding area for unranked members of the Mechanicus.[2]
