The Apocalypse class is an old design believed to have lead to the development of the Retribution class battleship. The multiple lance turrets on the Apocalypse, are no longer produced by the Mechanicum as the Technology has been lost. Therefore they are extremely valuable ships and will always be well protected. The Apocalypse class have a significant lance armament along Port and Starboard sides of the Apocalypse, these Lance arrays can rapidly drain the Energy reserves of the Battleship and divert energy from her Engines leaving here Vulnerable. The solution is not to deplete the energy by firing at extreme or long range despite the capability to do so. Limiting the Lance Batteries to medium and close range reduces the energy drain and counters this vulnerability.
