'''Synapse Creatures''' are creatures in the [[Tyranid]] [[Hive Fleet]] who have the ability to transmit the [[Hive Mind]]'s orders to the lesser members of the hive. The Synapse Creatures transmit these orders through the [[Synapse]], a psychic power generated in the synapse node. This Synapse control prevents the lesser creatures, especially [[Gaunts]] from reverting to instinctive behaviour, and therefore making them more reliable in battle. Known examples of Synapse Creatures are [[Hive Tyrants]], [[Broodlords]], [[Tyranid Warriors]], and some [[Zoanthrope]].
