Before a battle blood angels will indulge themselves in prayer and worship of their [[primarch]] and the [[Emperor]]. The [[chaplain]]s move from man to man seaking out those with a vacant look or whose speach is slured. Rarely does a blood angel succumb to the black rage. Most of his training is aimed at controlling it, but those that do collapse into a chaplains arm's and are carried away to form the Death Company. A Death Company Marine's power armour is painted jet black with red crosses on the spots where [[Sanguinius]] was wounded in his final battle with [[Horus]] and is covered with parchment upon which is written the deeds of the battle brother before his induction into the death company.
A Death Company assault will often spear head a blood angels attack as the frenzied warriors carve a bloody path through the enemie. They were instrumentil in the destruction of Waaargh Waaagh Gutstompa in which they and a death company dreadnought tore through the orks, ripped apart the war boss and broke the back of the entire waaagh.
