The relic is a half kilometer high column embedded with the [[power armor]] of the Imperial Fists who lost their lives defending the [[Imperial Palace]] during the [[Horus Heresy]]. The Power Armor contains the bones of the dead [[Space Marines]].¹

==Clarity issues=Problems=Information concerning the exact composition of the Column of Glory is vague. The Column is described as "rainbow metal" but the meaning of this description remains vague and is not clear. It is unlikely that it this refers to the color colors of Column given that Imperial Fists armor is yellow and, as such, does not warrant such a description. However, While it is possible the Column may be multiple colors ''if'' other Space Marine Legions had their is composed of the power armor included within its structure, which would make from the Column multiple colorsChapters that defended the Imperial Palace, thereby being "rainbow" in coloration, but this is not statedand would render the relic not specific to the Imperial Fists. The vague Instead, the description also may refer to the shape of the structure, in which case the Column of Glory would indeed in fact be an arch and not a column at all. ^1,²
