The Banishment of Ghargatuloth
The planet had been overcome by cultists of Tzeentch and Ghargatuloth made his appearance there.

Ordinarily, an Exterminatus order would be used in a case of infestation so severe, but due to the special threat posed by Ghargatuloth it was necessary to assault the planet directly to confirm the demon's destruction.

A force of 300 Grey Knights, under the command of Inquisitor Lakonios, arrived in the system aboard the fast strike cruisers Valour Saturnum and Vengeful. The landing force, under the command of three Grand Masters, including Grand Master Mandulis, Grand Master Malquaint and Grand Master Ganelon, arrived by drop pod near a network of pre-Imperial barrows. Surrounding these barrows was a swarm of thousands of demons and crucifix-trees bearing the tortured population of the planet.

Ganelon's force of nearly 100 Grey Knights had landed wide of the target zone and was quickly surrounded and cut off. Malquaint's force of 70 Grey Knights landed on the edge of the crucified forest and he led a spearhead into the fray to draw off as much of Ghargatuloth's force as he could to enable Mandulis to lead the direct assault.

Mandulis entered the battle alongside a Purgation Squad led by Justicar Chemuel. A second pod nearby, bearing a Terminator squad led by Captain Martel, linked up with squad Chemuel. A tactical squad, led by Justicar Justinian, was also nearby.

Once assembled, Mandulis joined squad Martel and led a direct assault on the main barrow. Squad Chemuel supported them with Psycannon and Incinerator fire.

Only Mandulis and a handful of Terminators from squad Martel actually reached the final barrow to confront Ghargatuloth himself in his tower. Mandulis charged, and successfully banished the demon prince back to the warp.
