Equipment
So, we can consider this. Raven Guard is using Mk VI power armour because it has better stealth capabilities than all other previous marks and maybe because Raven Guard Legion was field testing this armour and it is named after their primarch. Other than that, in Deliverance Lost it is written: "Branne laughed and jabbed a finger towards the conical faceplate in front of him. ‘Because we’re the Raven Guard and the armour has a beak?’ he said. ‘Some honour!’" (page 235)
I'm looking forward to your comments on this. --[[User:Rajco502|Rajco502]] 10:07, 22 March 2012 (CET)

:I noticed this aswell. The problem is that GW has written it both ways at different times -
*The IA Raven Guard Article states something like ''"After their near-destruction at Isstvan V, the Raven Guard had to make to do with older armour and equipment."''
The problem with this is that Mk VI would be the most advanced type of armour at the time of the heresey, not an older one - so this is contradictory in itself. And Kiavahr has always been described as highly industrialised so it would seem unlikely that there would be problems equipping the Raven Guard (particularly as there werent many left after Istvaan.)

*Deliverance Lost describes a more logical scenario - the survivors were given the most advanced armour available, this ties in with the background of the history of the different models of power armour.

When there are direct contradictions in the sources, the policy is to regard the most current version as being "canon". So we should probably remove the ''"After their near-destruction at Isstvan V, the Raven Guard had to make to do with older armour and equipment. The available resources were too few to re-equip them"'' part and add a proper account of the Raven Guard getting the 1st batch of MkVI suits from Deliverance lost.
