Originally a member of the [[Imperial Guard]] , Grease Monkey was a highly skilled driver as well as and mechanic, much to the chagrin of his units unit's [[Tech PriestsPriest]]s. While his tinkering may have eventually put him in the same position he finds himself now, it was his decision to take a grav-vehicle belonging to the ambassador of the [[Iyanden]] Craftworld that landed him on the [[penal colony]] [[Devlan 5]].^{{Fn|1}}

Grease Monkey's talent with vehicles serves him well in the 'Last Chancers'. Capable of driving virtually any vehicle known to humankind as well as hot-wiring and repairing them, he is able to get the team out of many a sticky situation in a hurry. When not behind the wheel Grease Monkey is armed with a [[bolt pistol]].^{{Fn|1}}
