Detailed Information
*Eternity Gate - The largest entry to the Imperial Palace. There is a mile long passage leading to the Eternity Gate, lined with the banners of thousands of long dead Imperial heroes, including Lord Commander Solar Macharius. It is an important pilgrimage spot.
*Imperial Palace - One of the largest structures on Terra, actually more like a sprawling citycovering the better part of the northern hemisphere centred around the Himalayan montains, containing the Adeptus Custodes and the headquarters of the Administratum, as well as the throneroom of the Emperor.
*Adeptus Custodes - The Emperor's Pretorian Praetorian Legion, a force of elite warriors assigned to protect the Imperial Palace. A select group of three hundred custodes guard the throne room of the Emperor. The Adeptus Custodes are to Space Marines what Space Marines are to ordinary humans.
*Administratum - The administrative division of the Imperium, consisting of untold billions of bureaucrats constantly working to hold together and organise the many disparate parts of the Imperium. It is the largest of the departments of the Adeptus Terra. ten billion administratum adepts work in the Imperial palace alone.
*Departmento Munitorum - A department of the Adeptus Terra that is charged with the general upkeep and supply of all Imperial Navy and Imperial Guard forces across the galaxy.
*Throne Room - Also known as the Sanctus Sanctum Imperialis, the place where the Emperor resides upon his golden throne.
*Astronomican - Believed to lie in the Himalayas, ten thousand psykers blast out the Astronomican beacon for thousands of lightyears in all directions (a sphere with a diameter of roughly 75,000 light years, centred around the Earth is lit up by this psychic beacon in the warp). The astronomican is used by the mutant psykers known as navigators when navigating through the immaterium. Without it long distance warp jumps would be impossible and the imperium would disintegrate in to its component parts.
