The '''Unbound Flame''' is one of the [[Nine Artifacts of Vulkan]]. This stasis-capsule served as the coffin for [[Vulkan]] during his apparent death on [[Macragge]] during the [[Horus Heresy]]. Later, the Unbound Flame was brought by [[Artellus Numeon]] to [[Mount Deathfire]] on [[Nocturne]], where the [[Salamanders]] Captain hoped to resurrect his [[Primarch]]. Before Numeon sacrificed himself in the fires of Mt. Deathfire to restore Vulkan he put his armor and weapons into the casket.{{Fn|1}}
Since the formation of the [[Great Rift]], [[Vulkan He'Stan]] believes the Unbound Flame to be on the planet [[Zero]].{{Fn|2}}
