However, the creation of the [[Great Rift]] brought devastation to the Agri World, as it caused a forced migration of an [[Ork]] horde which fell upon Meto.{{Fn|1a}} The world was of such importance that once word of the invasion reached the [[Indomitus Crusade]], [[Lord Commander]] [[Roboute Guilliman]] immediately dispatched an [[Ultramarines]] strike forceto save the Agri World. The strike force consisted of the [[8th Company (Ultramarines)|Chapter's Eighth Company]], led by [[Space Marine Captain|Captain]] [[Numitor]] , with additional support elements of the [[8th 9th Company (Ultramarines)|Chapter's Eighth Ninth Company]] to save the Agri World.{{Fn|1a}}  When the strike force arrived, the Orks' ships were still in the process of transporting down their troops and Numitor gave the order to board them, in order to kill the horde's [[Warboss|Warlord]] before the invasion could truly begin. They were too late, however, as the Warlord had already landed upon the Agri World and by the time the strike force realized their mistake, the Warlord had begun leading the Orks in a massacre of Meto's population. While Numitor was later successful in defeating the Orks, his strike force was mauled in the process and Meto was left devastated by the [[Xenos]]' invasion.{{Fn|1b}}
