In the [[Alpharius: Head of the Hydra (Novel)]], the [[Primarch]] [[Alpharius]] suspects that since [[Leman Russ (Primarch)|Leman Russ]] was the [[Emperor]]'s executioner, he was likely responsible for at least one of the Unknown Primarchs' disappearances, during the [[Great Crusade]].
