As Russ mentions that the Emperor was revealing Ferrus Manus as his 'third son', but referred to Ferrus implicitly as fourth elsewhere, this implies that the Primarch actually found third was not present. If this is the Second Primarch - who was established as being one of the first eight Primarchs found in [[Fulgrim: The Palatine Phoenix (Novel)|Fulgrim: The Palatine Phoenix]], and was actively leading his Legion at the time of that novel's events{{Fn|36}} - then this may just mean that the Emperor had chosen not to publicly reveal him yet, perhaps due similar to some sort of setback (if the Primarchhow he kept Vulkan's discovery itself was what Russ referred to as tragic)rediscovery a secret from the general public for several years after his rediscovery.{{Fn|47b27b}}
