The House is unusual in that its [[High King]] is not marked out by the traditional band upon his carapace, but Bryce’s personal heraldry is instantly recognizable to all of Griffith's Knights regardless.{{Fn|1}} As has been the tradition upon [[House Griffith]]'s [[Knight World|Homeworld]], [[Dragon's End]], for centuries, only a [[Knight]] who has slain an enemy [[High King]] can bear a red blade, gauntlet or lance. Exactly what qualifies a foe as a High King is a matter of conjecture amongst Griffith's [[Noble House|Nobles]]. All agree, however, that Byrce earned the honor fairly when he carved [[Warboss]] [[Grazzgha]]’s [[Gargant]] to pieces, and again when he felled a [[Lord of Skulls]] with his [[Thermal Cannon]].{{Fn|1}}===Sacristan Guard===Bryce has his own personal [[Knight Household Guard|Household Guard]] known as the '''Sacristan Guard''', who wear [[House Griffith]]'s colors of blue and red. Recently a [[Kill Team Unit]] [[Skitarii Rangers]] was given to Bryce as a gift, from a [[Forge World]] [[Incaladion]] [[Tech Priest]] and the [[High King]] has integrated them into his Guard. Bryce does not realize, however, that the Tech Priest had an ulterior reason for doing so.
