Exactly what qualifies a foe as a High King is a matter of conjecture amongst Griffith's [[Noble House|Nobles]]. All agree, however, that Byrce earned the honor fairly when he carved [[Warboss]] [[Grazzgha]]’s [[Gargant]] to pieces, and again when he felled a [[Lord of Skulls]] with his [[Thermal Cannon]].{{Fn|1}}

Bryce has his own personal [[Knight Household Guard|Household Guard]] known as the '''Sacristan Guard''', who wear [[House Griffith]]'s colors of blue and red. Recently a [[Kill Team Unit]] [[Skitarii Rangers]] was given to Bryce as a gift, from a [[Forge World]] [[Incaladion]] [[Tech Priest]] and the [[High King]] has integrated them into his Guard. Among the Skitarii is '''[[Delta-3 Clavion''']], '''[[Delta-3 Haric''']], '''[[Delta-3 Jaxos''' ]] and the Kill Team's leader '''[[Delta-3 Tominus''']]. Bryce does not realize, however, that the Tech Priest had an ulterior reason for doing so. While their master has commanded the Skitarii to watch over Griffith's Knights in battle, they are also charged with claiming any of the House's unattended technology for their Forge World.{{Fn|2}}
