*Tormageddon Monstrum Rex is a Chaos Warship. Probably initially built as an imperial vessel, it must have been acquired by the chaos forces It has often appeared in clashes with the follow-up of Horus' heresy, receiving the name of the chaos demon First and Only. It remains to speculation whether the ship contains reliquia of the demon or is linked to or even conducted by the demon itself. The Classification of the ship is not officially specified but based on the observations by its imperial counterparts, it would fit into the role of a capital ship like a battleship. *It appears in the Dan Abnett's reports around Gaunt's Ghosts (Tanith's first and only).**1.: in Sabbat Martyr it serves as the flotilla-flagship which breaches an imperial blockade to allow a massive chaos-invasion on Heredot. It's described as acting agressively aggressively and flooding the communications by both electonicalls and astropathically screaming it's name.
**2.: in Salvation's reach, it shadows The Highness Ser Armaduke, observing the 1st (and only) Tanith's landing on Salvation's reach without engaging.
**3.: in Warmaster, Tormageddon Monstrum Rex provides assistance to imperial vessel The Highness Ser Armaduke to fight off a cannibalistic chaos boarding-attack. By this T.H. Ser Armaduke remains preserved, with the two chaos agents (Dalin and Yoncy Criid/Kolea) on board and Colonel-Commissar Gaunt is -again accused of being touched by the warp.
*It's commonly described as very old, aggressive, huge, powerful and acting as having acquired conciousness. Thus its position in chaos' command structures remains generally unspecified. During Salvation's Reach, it witnesses Gaunt's false-flag-operation to demolish the laboratories. Never the less, the mission is successful, driving wedges of mistrust between the chaos' warlords -which in this instance plays out mainly against Anakwaner Sek. In its third known appearance, during the events of "Warmaster", it stands on Sek's side again pursuing the infiltration of Gaunt's Ghosts. As a conclusion, it might belong to the highest levels of chaos' navy, or on the level of Anarch Sek's operational assets while maybe acting out of personal self-interest or in misconduct of orders. ==Notes==Probably initially built as an imperial vessel, it must have been acquired by the chaos forces in the follow-up of Horus' heresy, receiving the name of the chaos demon Tormageddon.
