In [[M42]], Solomon Akurra sought to reclaim the precious Alpha Legion artifact known as the [[Pale Spear]], which was once wielded by [[Serpent's Teeth|hisAlpharius]] himself. The spear had moved to an [[Chaos Warband|WarbandOrdo Malleus]] encountered vault in the fearsome [[Primaris Space MarinesPsyphos]] deep within the [[Ultima SegmentumSub-Sector]], and were faced with a stark choice – fade into the shadows, or adapt and strike back. However Akurra intends to take the title by command of [[HarrowmasterInquisitor]] [[Kayzen Hart]], in order to bind lure the traitor Astartes into an ambush{{Fn|2a}}. While Solomon was able to retrieve the disparate strands blades of the Spear{{Fn|2b}} and use them to rest back control of the [[conglomerated Alpha Legion]] together. Upon doing so, the [[Chaos Lord]] would then unleash Warbands of the ultimate weapon upon Ultima Segmentum, the [[Imperium]] – the truthoriginal haft remains in Inquisitor Hart's hands.{{Fn|12c}}
