→Background
The ranks of these Tech-priests are unusual as they tend to be capable of intuitive thinking, speculation and improvisation, unlike their more orthodox brethren. Techsorcists are famous for their lateral and unorthodox processes which they employ when stricter logic and standard procedures fail. Their talents allow them to operate as a standard Tech-priest but a Techsorcist holds a deeper understanding on how Chaos has the power to mutate and adapt technology. Such traits prove to be a valuable tool for Inquisitors due to their skillset in allowing them to better understand a weakness in the enemy and means that they are often employed as specialists when heretical technology is encountered.1a
Training to become a Techsorcist involves first filing a petition for a transfer that needs to be countersigned by their commanding Inquisitor. After that point, a special mechadendrite is installed that includes hexagrammic data-gates.1a The altered mechadendrite helps the Techsorcist in their duties as the special electronic wards allows them to resist the corruption of Chaos-infested Machine Spirits. It also holds a small memory unit used to store proscribed documents yet the device is programmed to automatically wipe itself if the mechadendrite is removed or if the Techsorcist is killed.1b Once done, the Tech-Priest engages in a three hour access of selected records that details corrupted Machine Spirits. Upon completion of the data review, the potential must complete a 7,000 word question test in the span of three hours. If successful, the newly-recognised Techsorcist is provided clearance to further texts from the Ordo Malleus.1a
