This creature is designed specifically to target and eliminate high-value strategic targets such as enemy commanders and gather strategic intel whilst remaining undetected.{{Fn|1a}}  ==Overview==Death's Shadow serves as the [[Synapse#Synapse Creatures|synapse creature]] leader for the [[Insidious Infiltrators]] group of Vanguard Organisms dedicated to causing terror and confusion behind enemy lines and escaping unseen. To that end this bioform's ability to project a Neural Disruption field which instills a primal fear in creatures around it{{Fn|1b}} is combined with its skill at camouflage and assasination. This makes for a particularly terrifying combination, especially while working in concert with the other deadly creatures it has overseen vanguard raids on several worldscommands. While the [Von Ryan's Leapers|Leapers]] and [[Lictor]] distract the defenders, Death's Shadow lies in wait to slip through the fortifications and eliminate its intended target completely undetected.{{Fn|11a}}

The [[Neurolictor]]'s field of neural disruption projection causes atavistic terror responses in even the most hardened foes. This effect allows Death's Shadow and the subservient [[Insidious Infiltrators]] to sow blind panic behind enemy lines.
