Armament and Equipment
Tiger Sharks are used to deploy fourteen Gun Drones from their internal racks at high altitude. The Tiger Shark is also armed with two Ion Cannons, two Missile Pods and two Drone Controlled Burst Cannons.1d The Ion Cannons can be replaced with two Swiftstrike Railguns or two Swiftstrike Burst Cannons.77a
AX-1-0 Variant
First seen during the Taros Campaign, the AX-1-0 variant is a Tiger Shark that's been refitted for Titan-killing duty by replacing its Ion Cannons and Drone Racks with a pair of Railguns,1a that are capable of engaging and destroying just about any ground target.6b The Railguns can be replaced with paired Heavy Plasma Accelerators.7b

The AX-1-0 provided a nasty shock when a strafing run from one destroyed the Warhound Titan Advensis Primaris. The three other Warhounds in the battle then withdrew rather than face such firepower.1b
After Taros the usage of AX-1-0s has spread to other war zones on the fringes of the Tau Empire. They are mostly used for special missions against specific hard targets like command and control bunkers, hardened weapon positions, missile silos and super-heavy vehicles.6b Skilled pilots have also been using the AX-1-0 in an anti-aircraft role, with it being capable of downing everything short of a Thunderhawk.7b
