Jaromar was among the [[Imperial]] forces that aided in defending the [[Khaldun Sector]] from the [[Craftworld]] [[Riellen]] in late [[M41]]. The [[War for the Khaldun Sector]] saw many of its worlds fall to the Craftworld and Jaromar the Baron was among [[part of Tolkhan]]'s forces that were sent to aid in reclaiming [[Eryx]]. He was part of served in the [[Emperor Titan]] [[Praes Vindicta]]'s escort, but as they neared the world, their [[Pegasus Transport]], [[Arca Novem]], was shot down by Riellen's forces.{{Fn|1}}

While Jaromar and many of the [[Arca Novem]]'s passengers survived the subsequent crash landing on [[Eryx]], the [[Praes Vindicta]] was left trapped within the [[Pegasus Transport]]. This prevented the [[Emperor Titan]] from aiding in the Novem's defense, when the [[Riellen]] [[Farseer]] [[Tilwen]] led the [[Craftworld]]'s forces to destroy the transport. However Jaromar and the [[Magos|Maghi]] [[Stilich]] and [[Aclys]], led the Novem's defenders in fending off all of Riellen's attacks. Soon [[Imperial]] reinforcements from elsewhere on Eryx began arriving to save the Novem and this caused the Craftworld's forces to flee. Though the Praes Vindicta also survived the battle, it would need six months of repair work before the [[Emperor Titan]] could be deployed into the [[War for the Khaldun Sector]] again.{{Fn|1}}
