Changes

The standard pattern of operations within the Legion saw it used as a base for resupply for a force that was primarily based within the mobile halls of the fleet. Only on the rarest of occasions did any of the Chapters of the Dark Angels return to their halls for any lengthy period of rest, with garrison duty left to the rawest recruits and those masters and seneschals with [[Deathwing]] lifeguard cadres that stood warden over it’s domain. The world was considered heavily fortified and defended.{{Fn|1b}}

During the [[Horus Heresy]], while never attacked by traitor forces, Gramayre was kept isolated from the greater war, by both the actions of [[Word Bearers]] [[Consul|Esoterists]] and the strange powers they wielded, and the disturbing silence from certain echelons of the Legion’s leadership.{{Fn|1b}}
