==Overview== It was once the seat of power for the First Legion's [[Council of Masters]], which ruled the Legion after the death of [[Legion Master|Grandmaster]] [[Urian Vendraig]].{{Fn|1a}} This changed after the [[Primarch]] [[Lion El'Jonson]] gained control of the Legion and it was reborn as the [[Dark Angels]]. Afterwards the old, grand [[Chantry]]{{Fn|1a}} was demolished, as the new seat of the Legion's power would be aboard the ''[[Invincible Reason]]''. In its place, El'Jonson ordered that a more modest fortress be built, to secure the industrial sprawl of Gramarye.{{Fn|1a}}
Afterwards, Gramayre would serve as [[Caliban|one of the two]] large outposts held by the Legion which saw the largest concentration of the Legion’s infrastructure. Its fortress hall’s would play host to the [[Hexagrammaton|Hexagrammaton’s]] Council of Masters. With Gramayre’s vast industrial facilities producing many of the Legion's more esoteric weapons which had long been concealed from the scrutiny of the [[Adeptus Mechanicus|Mechanicum]].{{Fn|1b}} The world also held sealed vaults containing large stocks of the Legion’s proscribed weaponry, including such types as life annihilating [[Gene-Phage|Gene-Phages]], planet destroying [[Magna-Torpedo|Magna-Torpedos]] and the dreaded nanite scourge of the [[Silica-virae]].{{Fn|1d}}
