Gregory Ormund is a sacristan who trained on the [[Forge World]] [[Raisa]]. After many long years of study among the [[Gryphonne IV|Gryphonnen]] [[magi]], he became an honoured [[artificer]]. His great knowledge and expertise was used to maintain the [[Knight|steeds]] of House Cadmus.{{Fn|1a}}
Gregor Ormond was another survivor of the Gryphonnen disaster whose manner of escape had left him stranded amid the Mechanicus refugees. He had become separated from the rest of the House Cadmus entourage when a storm of [[tyranid]] [[Mycetic Spore|spores]] descended upon their [[drop-keep]], birthing a horde of brood-creatures into their midst.
