Long ago, [[Forge World]] [[Obscurus]] once supplied much of the Moebian Domain.{{Fn|4e}} A significant amount of old [[Cadia]]n battlegear is found across the Moedian Domain, but the reasons why isn't specified by history.{{Fn|4d}}
The stable [[warp route]]s and [[astropath]]ic communications from the Moebian Domain to the rest of the Imperium have been significantly disrupted by [[Warp storm]]s recently. This has essentially left the Moebian Domain isolated and cut off from the rest of the wider Imperium.{{Fn|7a}}
The area now known as the Moebian Domain was first colonised during the early [[Dark Age of Technology]]. [[archeotech]] from this lost age have been found across the Moebian Domain. Many have been thoroughly exorcised by the adepts of the [[Cult Mechanicus]], but more relics doubtless remain.{{Fn|5}} Wreckage of [[Adeptus Mechanicus]] [[Explorator Fleet|Exploratory fleet]]s have also been found in the Moebian Fringe.{{Fn|4f}}
