The War for the Tri-forge Cluster began when the Thousand Sons invaded the Imperium-held Tri-forge Cluster in M42. The Death Guard would later invade the Cluster as well, on the orders of the Daemon Primarch Mortarion.1
Meanwhile, many of the 4th Plague Company's Vectoriums fought the forces of Tzeentch for possession of the Cluster's large number of Psykers. On Oktos, the Missionaries of Putridity engaged in ferocious psychic battles with rogue Tzeentchian psykers throbbing with Warp energy. The Congregation of the Blessed Foul battles nearly destroyed the world Seixios, after they unleashed vast tides of sludge to quench city-sized Tzeentchian firestorms. The Disciples of Pustulence, though, made a staggering discovery of three hundred Predator tanks on Novios. This stockpile had accumulated after the Tri-forge Cluster was awarded the honor to produce one Predator a year for the Chorus of Eltain Chapter. The Cluster had not been informed, however, that the Chapter had been destroyed in the Abyssal Crusade, which occurred in M37. Because of this, the Cluster had simply continued to produce the Chorus of Eltain's Predators without question. Their mistake was the Death Guard's gain, though, and the Traitors began corrupting the Predators for their own use. They are unaware, however, that hundreds more of the completed Predators still lay undiscovered.1
