Another way of image projection is through the use of an inserted [[Data-Crystal]], which the Projectors cause to spin and then send a beam of light into. Doing so causes the images or recordings the Crystal contains to be displayed and any nearby lights may need to be dimmed, for the Projectors to show a more clearer image.{{Fn|1}}
 
Hololiths are typically either green, blue, or some colour between. The form created by the projection ribbons are heavily striated mote strands, not quite true-pict-quality. Frameshift technologies made flaws inevitable and can't be ironed out due to simple physics. At close range and in good conditions, the best holocast provided a phantom figure, alongside an audio buzzing. Jag and tear is common in long-range holocasts.{{Fn|9}}
