During the [[Macharian Crusade]], it was named by [[Ulrik Grimfang]] of the [[Space Wolves]], who remarked that its harsh oceans made ''Fenris for the soft-hearted'' by comparison. The planet is inhospitable, yet its oceans teem with life, making it a valued agri-resource for the Imperium.{{Fn|1}}
